What is a Christian Worldview?

Writing with a Christian Worldview

This world did not get here by accident. Not a big bang, not a bunch of alien deists, and not on the back of a turtle. Almighty God created it out of nothing.

That means, in simple terms, that everything, every person, in this world owes allegiance, obedience and love to the Creator.

A Christian worldview recognizes those truisms. When you write with a Christian worldview, your writing will reflect them in unmistakable terms. More than likely, your protagonist (your hero) is either going to have, or be developing, a solid Christian worldview.

A Christian should see this world with the eyes of God Himself. Evil is going to be really evil. Good is going to be really good.

How do you get a Christian worldview?

Here’s the Bible answer:

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.   (Pro 3:5-7)

Note: Rachelle Gardner wrote a good post on the Christian worldview.
